"I Live for the Day" is a song by American singer, Lindsay Lohan. It was produced by Greg Wells and Kara DioGuardi to Lohan's second album, A Little More Personal (Raw). The song was not released in the United States, but was released as the second single in Australia, where it received considerable airplay. However received airplay on some stations in the U.S. ending up as a radio single in late 2005.
While sales of "A Little More Personal (Raw)" began to decrease, the Casablanca Records decided to release a second single. Lohan wanted to "Who Loves You" as the second single, but "I Live for the Day" was chosen instead. The song was released on December 13, 2005, with a music video promised to be filmed later. Going through a financial crisis, the Casablanca decided not to promote the single, and decided to go ahead with the song "Fastlane", as next single.
Lohan had mentioned direct the music video, after directing the video for "Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)" on December 14, 2005, in his appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". Later, she came down and Marc Webb, who had directed the videos of Hilary Duff, My Chemical Romance, was slated to direct the video. Lohan wrote a story for the video where his close friend, Adam Bertrand, co-star. The video was to begin filming in December 2005 to debut in February 2006.
In the video, Lohan is dressed all in black. Later, she drags her boyfriend unfaithful to the woods and tormented before taking him to the basement of a house on the lake (where Murder by Numbers was filmed). He cries to be released from hold, while Lohan attends a news story about it on the list of missing persons. Later, she throws water on his face when the police show up. She acts shyly and pretends not to hear the cries of her boyfriend. She turns down one last time and he regrets what he did to her. Then she abandons him in the forest and away from the sun.
